Here's That Rainy Day AgainAll is dulled  in shades of blue  grey, and black  Slight lines  Very slight lines  fall, wetting the sidewalk.  Dew gathers again on garden leaves  Dew, like in the morning  when the very tips of the sun's fingers  gently touch upon them.   
The leaves turn a deeper green  A livelier green  while the rest of the world runs,  hides from the rain.  I walk out,  I let the rain wash me away.   
Rain pitter-patters again  on the sidewalk,  splashing,  making small ripples in the puddles.  It runs down my face,  wetting my hair   Here's That Rainy Day Again

A Flash of OrangeThe air was deathly still. Not a bird dared to chirp, not a fox dared to venture forth from its den. No squirrels scampered among the trees; even the rustle of leaves remained absent in the windless atmosphere. Mosquitoes buzzed and crickets provided a steady drone—steady, present, but unchanging.   
Leaves rustled. A pair of white-furred ears perked up, swiveling around to sense the cause of the disturbance. But the air became deathly still again. A pink nosed sniffed the air tentatively. It twitched, cautiously testing the atmosphere. But the air was deathly still again.   
The crickets ceased chirping. It glanced a A Flash of Orange

Night MusicCrickets chirp  Mosquitoes buzz  Bullfrogs croak in the distance.  Footsteps sound--  The crunching of grass  The rustle of leaves.   
A silent figure strides over the grass,  gliding across the meadow.  Shadows conceal my face  from a full moon  but I have nothing to hide.  I come,  my soul laid bare  under the night sky,  beneath the stars' unbiased judgment.   
I raise my arm and beckon  The crickets cease their cacophony of sound.  And when I lower it  the sound begins anew.   
I let the night music flow around me  Let my noc Night Music

Germany trip was awesome!

I need to get that gross, depressing thing off my profile page.

I just (as in one week ago) got back from Germany! =D The trip was awesome, the food was awesome, the people were awesome, and everything was a heck of a lot more expensive. And speaking of food, it's almost surprising how many variations of the bratwurst these street vendors can come up with. >.>

Started the trip in Austria, actually, in Vienna. Lots and lots of Mozart stuff (they say that contrary to popular belief, Mozart /was/ very well-known in his time, and the reason he died penniless was because he was a frivolous spender), lots and lots of historical stuff, lots and lots of cool buildings. But guess what there wasn't enough of? Music stores. It's freaking Vienna, and I couldn't find a trumpet /anywhere/. =/

It was a cool city, though. The baroque buildings and churches looked really cool.

Stopped in Salzburg, the place where they filmed a lot of The Sound of Music. Beautiful city; a pity we didn't spend much time there.

Then we stopped at various places all over Germany. Munich was another beautiful place. Lots of meaningful memorials, amazing architecture, and other fun places to see. Got me a beer mug almost as large as my head, just because. XD

So, yeah. Remember the girl from last journal? When I got back, I found out that her going-away party was the next day. So I went -- I'd gotten her a couple things in Germany -- and she seemed a-okay. As if nothing had happened. Even got a hug, so I think it's safe to say that she forgave me. n_n Had a blast at her party.

In other news, I changed my deviantART avvy for the first time in over three years. =O And when I was in Germany, I found German Pokemon cards. I couldn't resist! XD (I <3 my Psiana.) So for fits and giggles, I invited a bunch of friends over with our old Pokemon cards and now I'm hooked again. Damn you, Pokemon and your addictiveness!

That's it for my random thoughts of the evening.
