So, today, I changed my keyboard from QWERTY to Dvorak. Partially because I like being different, and partially because Dvorak is supposed to be more efficient. We no longer live in the the days of typewriters. QWERTY's reign will end!

My WPM is suffering greatly, though. This will take some getting used to. >.>

Blegh. I think I'm going to call this a failed experiment. No matter how much more efficient Dvorak may be, I grew up with QWERTY, and I don't have the patience to practice and get this new one up-to-speed. >.<

Boooored. >.>

HAPPY SECTION:
Are you usually a happy person?: I try to be optimistic, but I'm a pessimist by nature.
What makes you the happiest?: Music, my friends, and good food.
Does being with your friends make you happy?: Yep. No better way of escaping the problems of life than partying.

LOOK AT ME:
What is your current hair color?: Black. As someone once put it, "so black it almost looks blue".

Germany trip was awesome!

I need to get that gross, depressing thing off my profile page.

I just (as in one week ago) got back from Germany! =D The trip was awesome, the food was awesome, the people were awesome, and everything was a heck of a lot more expensive. And speaking of food, it's almost surprising how many variations of the bratwurst these street vendors can come up with. >.>

Started the trip in Austria, actually, in Vienna. Lots and lots of Mozart stuff (they say that contrary to popular belief, Mozart /was/ very well-known in his time, and the reason he died penniless was because he was a frivolous spender), lots and lots of historical stuff, lots and lots of cool buildings. But guess what there wasn't enough of? Music stores. It's freaking Vienna, and I couldn't find a trumpet /anywhere/. =/

It was a cool city, though. The baroque buildings and churches looked really cool.

Stopped in Salzburg, the place where they filmed a lot of The Sound of Music. Beautiful city; a pity we didn't spend much time there.

Then we stopped at various places all over Germany. Munich was another beautiful place. Lots of meaningful memorials, amazing architecture, and other fun places to see. Got me a beer mug almost as large as my head, just because. XD

So, yeah. Remember the girl from last journal? When I got back, I found out that her going-away party was the next day. So I went -- I'd gotten her a couple things in Germany -- and she seemed a-okay. As if nothing had happened. Even got a hug, so I think it's safe to say that she forgave me. n_n Had a blast at her party.

In other news, I changed my deviantART avvy for the first time in over three years. =O And when I was in Germany, I found German Pokemon cards. I couldn't resist! XD (I <3 my Psiana.) So for fits and giggles, I invited a bunch of friends over with our old Pokemon cards and now I'm hooked again. Damn you, Pokemon and your addictiveness!

That's it for my random thoughts of the evening.

Struck out

  • Mood: Guilty
I am an idiot.

So I was over at a friend's party, and said girl that likes me who I don't really have a thing for anymore comes on strong. Well, stronger than normal (that is, a little more than just smiling at me). She told me after the party that she felt I was hesitating, but by the end, she was holding my hand and a friend asked us why we weren't dating yet.

That was my first mistake.

My second mistake was when I gave her the "Let's just be friends" talk after the party. Emphasis on the 'after the party'. And now she thinks I was leading her on, lying to her. The worst part is, I was lying to her. That was my first mistake. Y'see, I'm the sort of person who likes it when people get along. If a friend wants to do something, unless I'm opposed to it, I usually go with the flow. If she wants to sit on my lap, who am I to complain? Looks like I need to rethink my foreign policy.

So this is what I get for procrastinating. I should've told her much sooner. That way, I could've avoided lying more to her and adding to the farce that is my social life. It's almost like I've got two personalities, now. The somber, pessimistic one that doesn't ever want to do anything, and then the party animal who loves to stir up trouble. But that's a different story.

Hopefully, at or before her going-away party, she'll forgive me. 'Till then, I'll just keep cool and continue dancing through life like I usually do. Past this ordeal, I refuse to chase after or respond to anyone who might be coming on to me. I did love her at one point, but it was started and pushed mainly by her; not to mention the love triangle incident. For someone who prides himself on thinking independently... Like I said, I need to rethink my foreign policy.

School's over, so at least that's one stress factor out of the way. Now I need to finish another three chapters of Consumer Economics before the fifteenth. And get started on summer work. And work on college audition music. And continue writing and updating Prince of Thieves. I've got a habit of biting off more than I can chew. I already said no to speech team, and I learned to say no again the hard way.

Strike three. Looks like I'm going to be sitting on the bench for a little while longer.

Oh, and :iconla-oscura-principe:? NOT A WORD to anybody else. Online anonymity dies when people who know you IRL know you online, too. ._.
